Bali Senior Dog Safe House Project

Updated: Apr 2

Alison Gray founded Bali Rescue Dog Squad in 2014 after moving to Bali and being moved to do something about the dogs in need on the island. Over the years she has rescued and re-homed countless dogs in need. Now Paws For Change have partnered with Bali Rescue Dog Squad to open Bali's first ever Senior Dog Safe House!

Through our fundraising efforts, Paws For Change have been able to secure the lease and initial refurbishments on a safe house specifically for seniors. These beautiful old souls now have a place of peace and comfort to live out their twilight years, complete with all the necessary special diet and medicines needed for some of their age related conditions.

We are continuing to raise funds and seeking foster carers for some of our senior residents. Some need a special diet due to age related renal issues; some need fish oil for joint problems; special medicated shampoos are needed for chronic skin issues; and all require ongoing flea and tick control.

Paws For Change will continue to seek local adoptive homes to ensure these golden oldies live out their best lives in loving environments.

On site safe house staff care for the dogs, ensure their ongoing safety and welfare, as well showing them love and kind attention for the first time in their life. Each dog receives behavioural assessment and training to ensure they are ready, with all the right manners, to transition to their new adoptive homes with ease.

Paws For Change needs to continue to raise funds for the daily operations of the safe house, staff and rehabilitation training costs, as well as the associated food and medical costs for these dogs.
