Paws For Change, is committed to finding new ways to help overseas dogs in need. Our playful and quirky take on our range of 100% not for profit products are a great way to engage people and are helping raise funds for a senior dog safe house in Bali.
“Often senior dogs are the hardest to adopt out because of their age and sometimes their health issues” says Paws For Change founder, Annie Leo.
“The lives these dogs have led can often be quite hard and they deserve to live out the rest of their days in comfort and safety, which is why we’ve focused on the seniors” she says.
Two of the latest products Paws For Change have released in a bid to raise funds for the safe house is a cheeky 2020 calendar entitled ‘Show Us Your Puppies’ which features a number of well known pet owners and their pooches.
“Our calendar is actually a 14 month calendar so it goes into the first part of 2021 as well and some wonderful pet owners donated their time to have a fun photo shoot with their pets – including Simon Bryant, Rhonda Burchmore, Anna Meares, Jane Reilly, Andrew ‘Cosi’ Costello and Jaimie Sortino. Everyone can use a calendar on the fridge at home or at the office and 100% of proceeds go to our dog rescue projects” says Annie.
Another unique initiative was a collaboration with respected winery, Artwine Estate to produce the first ever ‘Pawsecco’.
“Artwine are the only Adelaide Hills cellar door to produce an estate grown Prosecco and we knew what a quality wine it was so we decided to put a cute spin on the name and release a limited edition Pawsecco, with an eye catching label which was the result of a competition amongst TAFE SA Design Graduates and, again, all proceeds go toward our Bali safe house", explains Annie.
The ‘Golden Grey Time Seniors Safe House’ is due to open in Bali at the end of March 2020. Anyone interested in supporting the project can purchase the 'Show Us Your Puppies Calendar' and 'Pawsecco' via our online shop at: https://www.pawsforchange.org.au/shopmain
