Dora's Story
Dora came to our rescue partner, Bali Rescue Dog Squad, as the victim of a traffic accident. She had fractures in 4 places across her pelvis and severe nerve damage in at least one of her hind legs.
She once had owners but rather than help treat her, they dumped her hoping someone else would do something about it - which, of course, we did!
She had been paralysed and dragging her hind legs for a while as her fractures had started to calcify but once at our Wenaven Special Needs Safe House, we knew she was on the road to recovery.
She’s got eyes that could melt your soul and, as a result of her accident, she’ll likely have a turned out paw and uneven gait for life - but at least she can walk and her little wobble just makes her even more adorable.
