Our Mission

Paws For Change is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and re-homing of dogs in need, both locally and globally. Through our unwavering commitment to animal welfare, we strive to provide compassionate care, support and a loving, secure environment. We also aim to foster community empowerment by engaging in employment opportunities for individuals living with disability and meaningful employment to the local Balinese community where our own dedicated animal rescue shelters are located.

Our mission is driven by the belief that every dog deserves love, care, and a second chance at a happy life.

Our Story

Paws For Change is a registered Australian charity dedicated to improving the lives of animals and the community on both a local and global scale.

  • We work locally with disability employment providers in the manufacture and packaging of many of our products;

  • We also employ local Balinese in various roles, ensuring quality jobs for the local community and support for their families.

  • Our products are Eco-driven, designed in Australia and most are locally made.

  • 100% of our proceeds are directly channeled back to where they’re needed most… our animal rescue projects.

  • You can sponsor one of our rescue dogs and, as their Furry Godparent through our Virtual Adoption program, you will receive pupdates on them direct to your inbox each month.

    100% of your sponsorship goes directly towards caring for your sponsored dog - helping to provide their food, shelter and medical care.

    We also encourage Furry Godparents to come visit with their sponsored dog if they come to Bali. We love getting photos of sponsors and dogs together!

    • Donate: 100% of your donation goes directly to our rescue work. Whether it's a one off or recurring donation, we welcome all. amounts, large or small

    • Volunteer: We always need volunteers to help at events or even with remote roles such as social media or website updates.
      If you're coming to Bali, we are also introducing a volunteer program to help walk the dogs or help in the sanctuaries. Contact us for more details

    • Spread awareness: Share/Like our social media posts and tell people about our charity and how they can also help

    • Organise a fundraiser: We are always grateful for supporters who fundraise for our charity. Whether it's a bake sale, fun run, a social media fundraiser, or starting a Go Fund Me for our cause, it all helps

    • In Kind Donations:
      Even if you're not travelling to Bali, we are still happy to accept any donations for the dogs. We always have supporters who are travelling to Bali and can bring items over.

Our Services

  • Bali Rescue

    Paws For Change, together with Bali Rescue Dog Squad, are proud to present ‘Rescuetopia’ - a brand new sanctuary that lifts the levels of animal welfare in Bali to new heights.
    Rescuetopia provides refuge, vet care, rehabilitation and trans-fur-mation for Bali’s sick, injured and homeless dogs.

    Along with our other rescue sanctuaries - the Paws For Change Senior Safehouse and Wenaven Special Needs Sanctuary - we are able to help those sick, injured, abused and abandoned dogs in need.

  • Local Vets

    We continue to work with local vets on sterilisation and vaccination programs across Bali.

    Education on animal welfare within communities is also paramount to encourage more involvement and participation.

  • Rescuetopia

    We’re thrilled to have Stage One of Rescuetopia open and ready for our rescue dogs.

    Work will soon begin on Stage Two - featuring an agility area; on site vet clinic and adoption/education centre.
