Maru’s Story

Maru was reported to our rescue partner, Bali Rescue Dog Squad, as a dog who was hit not once, but twice by a car and was now left to drag herself around as her back legs didn’t work at all.

She had been in this state for a while, with no one helping her - to the point she had been dragging her back legs for so long that the bones were exposed and becoming infected.

She came into our care at our Wenaven Special Needs Safe House and, along with treatment for her ticks, fleas and anemia, Maru had a double amputation of the rear legs, allowing her to raise herself up on her two front legs with more ease.

She now has her own set of pink wheels and loves heading to the beach and zooming around the Safe House with her special needs pals.

Subscribe below and show Maru some love as she continues to thrive as a double amputee but doubly happy loved dog.
